Pulling A Mane
Pulling is a way of thinning and shortening
a long thick mane in order to make it tider more
manageable and easier to plait, when pulling a
mane it involves me plucking strands of hair out of the mane.
Plaiting A Mane
It is good to plait a mane so your horse or pony looks smart and tidy,plaiting the mane involves dividing the hairs into bunches,each bunch is plaited,folded under and fastened so that it lies in a small neat plait close to the crest.
Hogging A Mane
The advantage of hogging a mane is your horse or ponys neck will always look tidy and there will be no mane to get in the way of your hands when riding out.
